Cross-country skiing

The Großarl Trail runs from Großarl to the Kösslerhäusl Local History Museum, and the Hüttschlag Trail runs from Hüttschlag-Innere Wolfau to the end of the valley, where the “Talwirt” National Park Inn is located.

For those who still feel like breaking out their cross-country skis in the tranquil winter landscape of the Großarl Valley in the evening, nighttrails are available: one is located right in Großarl and is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. The second is in Hüttschlag near the Aschaustüberl and is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings.

Cross-country skiing takes some learning, so we also offer the opportunity to participate in courses for beginners or advanced skiers.
